Dive Insight:
Julia White, general manager of Office 365 Technical Product Management, said in a blog post on Thursday that Microsoft has continued to “refine and improve” Office 2016 for Windows.
“This is a seminal release for Office and one you won’t want to wait to deploy to your users,” said White.
White said Microsoft has enhanced the upgrade and installation experience, as well as added a new option for updating Office called Current Branch for Business. White said Current Branch for Business will be welcomed news for organizations that often wait to roll out a new version of Office.
Office 2016 also adds support for Data Loss Prevention, Multi-factor Authentication and other mission-critical control capabilities, added White.
