Dive Insight:
Microsoft announced it will start rolling out Windows 10 to their “Windows Insiders," (the firm's name for their preview program) on July 29. From there, the company will start notifying reserved systems in waves, with Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 10 Education on Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) starting on August 1.
The phased roll-out is designed to allow the company to learn and update the software as needed and also reduces the chance that their distribution servers will be overloaded.
Analysts expect few companies will immediately jump to Windows 10.
