Dive Brief:
- A report released by researcher IHS named Huawei, Cisco, Brocade and HP as the four leading companies in the enterprise networking sector.
- Cisco remains the most important vendor in the market, according to IHS.
- Juniper was dropped from the list this year and replaced by Chinese firm Huawei.
Dive Insight:
The four companies were chosen in part because of their roles as large-scale providers of a range of networking products and services for the enterprise.
"[They] are stable and well-known companies, have worked to diversify their offerings, and are generally well-regarded by enterprise buyers," said IHS research director Matthias Machowinski.
Huawei was noted for its expansion beyond China, while IHS praised Cisco for its "successful transition into an end-to-end ICT solution provider.”
