• Google has hired casino executive Tariq Shaukat to serve as its new president of enterprise sales, according to a Recode report.

• Shaukat previously served as the the chief commercial officer for Caesars Entertainment Corp.

• In his new role, Shaukat will be responsible for managing enterprise app sales, cloud services and devices.

Google's enterprise is undergoing a series of changes, as the company increases focus on the division. 

Earlier this month, Amit Singh announced his departure from his role as enterprise division lead to join the company's virtual reality team. 

In the fall, Google hired Diane Greene, the co-founder and former CEO of VMware, to bring enterprise experience the company has lacked in the past.

Google has been pouring more resources into its enterprise business lately. Company executives told attendees at their annual developer conference last week that they plan to make new investments and build new partnerships as part of a long-term commitment to the enterprise going forward.
