Moskovitz is the latest person to call attention to the lack of work-life balance in the tech industry — an issue brought to the forefront by recent reports claiming that Amazon overworks its employees.
“As an industry, we are falling short of our potential," said Moskovitz, who now heads software firm Asana. "My intellectual conclusion is that these companies are both destroying the personal lives of their employees and getting nothing in return.”
Moskovitz cited studies that found people perform more efficiently when they work fewer hours and fewer days a week.
