Dive Insight:
Just three weeks after its annual developers conference, Microsoft is adding more AI to its product suite.
During Microsoft Build in May, the company doubled down on its commitment to AI and said it was embedding AI throughout its technology — a promise that becomes more realized through each update.
Copilot capabilities for Dynamics 365 Project Operations are meant to reduce time spent on project status reports, task planning and risk assessment.
Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management with Copilot lets users handle changes to purchase orders at scale and optimize procurement decisions. Copilot in Dynamics 365 Finance will enable collections managers to prioritize and personalize customer communications.
The company teased an “upcoming extended planning and analytics solution” Thursday that could use natural language to convert data to visuals and insights, collaborate on plans, automate financial consolidation, streamline sales and gain a comprehensive view of cash flow.
Vendors throughout the tech ecosystem have been following a similar game plan, weaving generative AI into their core products. Salesforce added generative AI capabilities to its CRM solution as well as partnered with Microsoft-backed OpenAI.
