451 Research reported the price of on-demand cloud services fell 2.25% since October 2014. Cloud Cruiser's report found that "improving IT efficiencies and reducing costs" are the main goals for 92% of organizations who invest in the cloud.

IDC reported that investments in public cloud and spending on private cloud are on the rise, but non-cloud infrastructure spending is stagnant.

In total, IDC expects cloud IT infrastructure spending to grow by 26% this year and reach $33.4 billion this year — which equates to one-third of all IT spending.
As cloud become more commonplace and its value is proven by increasing numbers of companies, more CIOs are turning to cloud to help them improve IT efficiencies and reduce costs within their organizations.
